Looking for work seems like hell right now. Found your site through ShellSharks and I appreciate your blogging and use of the /now format

Reversing into parking spaces? 100%.
It's not even just about safety: there are mechanical reasons that reversing into parking spaces is superior. Assuming that you're driving a car and not a forklift, your steering is in your front wheels, not your rear wheels.
So long as you can correctly position the bit of your car that goes into the space first, positioning is easier if the steering wheels are LAST to go in. That's because the length of a car parking space is typically shorter than the radius of the smallest turning circle of the car!
If you go in forwards and half-way-in you realise you're not lined-up right (e.g. too close to somebody on one side, so you won't be able to open the door, for example). Your only solution is to reverse out a bit, reposition, and move in again.
But if you went in backwards, you get a lot more "wiggle room" because you can "swing" the front of your car around as you go!
Do other parts of the world not cover this during training? Here in the UK, to pass your driving test you have to demonstrate reverse parking, AND you have to demonstrate that you can reverse around a corner (staying the same distance from the kerb the whole way) - something that nobody really ever needs to do, but learning how to do so means that you necessarily know how to reverse into a bay, too.

It might be safer to back in but it doesn't mean I can do it. LOL.
